Teen Terms
True Intel Ltd, trading as TRUE. Registered in England and Wales, company no. 17255261. ICO registration no. CSN5763647.
These Terms apply to anyone taking part in activities through the TRUE programme. TRUE is a trading name of True Intel Ltd.
1. About TRUE
TRUE gives people aged 16 and over the chance to take part in occasional customer experience and consumer insight activities, in return for a reward.
Taking part is entirely voluntary. You choose which activities to do. There is no boss and there are no fixed shifts.
Joining the programme does not create an employment relationship, worker status or agency worker status, and does not guarantee any future activities.
2. Activities
Activities may include:
- Mystery shop: visiting a store to assess the store, staff, service, shelf display, sales behaviour, brand consistency and how it compares to competitors.
- Product trial: trying a product and sharing first reactions, real use (taste, fit, feel, function), appeal against rivals and whether you would buy it.
- Insight pulse: answering quick questions about brands on your phone.
- Unboxing: capturing your first impressions as you open a product.
3. Eligibility
To take part you must:
- Be aged 16 or over.
- Be a UK resident.
- Have a mobile device that can run the TRUE app.
- Provide proof of identity and accurate personal details.
- Provide payment details so TRUE can send your rewards.
- Accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Safeguarding Policy.
If you are under 18, you must have consent from a parent or guardian before taking part. See our Parental Consent page.
4. Accepting activities
Activities are offered through the TRUE app. You are free to accept or decline any activity.
Once you accept an activity, you agree to complete it by the stated deadline and to follow the brief.
5. Completing activities
When completing an activity you agree to:
- Follow the brief carefully.
- Give honest, accurate and objective feedback.
- Submit your report using the TRUE app.
- Upload any requested photos or receipts.
- Never guess answers or submit false information.
- Be respectful to staff and members of the public.
If you cannot complete an activity, let TRUE know as soon as possible.
6. Confidentiality
All activities are confidential. You must not:
- Tell staff or other shoppers that you are completing a TRUE activity.
- Share briefs.
- Post activity details or results on social media.
- Share client information with anyone else.
You can always tell your parent or guardian about TRUE and any activity you are doing.
This obligation continues after the activity has ended.
7. Rewards
The reward for each activity is shown before you accept it. Unless otherwise stated, standard activities are typically rewarded with £10.
Rewards are not wages or a salary. They are a thank you for successfully completing an activity.
Rewards are only payable once your report has passed TRUE's quality review.
8. Payment
Rewards are paid by bank transfer.
Approved rewards are paid at the end of the calendar month in which the activity is approved. If the last day of the month is a weekend or bank holiday, payment is normally made on the next working day. For example, an activity approved on 5 January or on 28 January will be paid at the end of January.
You are responsible for keeping your payment details up to date. TRUE is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payment details.
9. Quality standards
TRUE reviews every report before approving a reward. Rewards may be withheld where:
- The brief was not followed.
- The report is incomplete.
- Information is inaccurate or misleading.
- Required photos or receipts are missing.
- The activity was not completed by the deadline.
Where possible, TRUE will ask you to fix minor issues before making a decision.
10. Recommend a friend
You can recommend a friend to TRUE. Only recommend someone who is 16 or over and who has agreed to you sharing their details. TRUE will invite them to join. Anyone you recommend must sign up and meet the eligibility rules in section 3 themselves.
11. Your safety
Your safety always comes first.
If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe at any time, leave the location immediately and tell TRUE.
Never put yourself at risk to complete an activity. Our Safeguarding Policy explains how we protect participants.
12. Privacy
TRUE processes personal information in line with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. True Intel Ltd is registered with the ICO (registration no. CSN5763647).
We only use your information to run the programme, match you to suitable activities, contact you and pay your rewards. We will never sell your personal information.
13. Ending membership
You can leave TRUE at any time by asking us to close your account.
TRUE may suspend or remove membership where a participant:
- Provides false information.
- Breaks confidentiality.
- Submits fraudulent reports.
- Behaves inappropriately.
- Repeatedly fails to complete accepted activities.
Any approved rewards earned before your account closes will still be paid.
14. Changes
